Dr. Picado is a bright, energetic and extremely busy orthopedic surgeon. After completing medical school, his specialty and residency in Costa Rica, he opted to complete several fellowships in joint disease, hand surgery, joint replacement, trauma, and sports medicine (shoulder and knee arthroscopy surgery) in various US and European institutions. After more than 3 years living and studying abroad, he and his wife returned to Costa Rica in 2004 to set up a permanent practice at the CIMA Hospital (a Joint Commission International certified medical center), where today he provides the majority of his consultations and surgeries.
